Welcome! The NAIT Library Makerspace provides the NAIT community with the space, tools, and support to enhance hands-on education and lifelong learning through experimentation and exploration. You can find us in the NAIT Library (U310).
Most of the spaces are open whenever the library is open, but some specific pieces of equipment have specific operating hour requirements, and nothing is permitted to run overnight. Although you are welcome to use the majority of our equipment and technology yourself, a few pieces require you to take a quick certification class. You can find a full schedule of our certification classes here. Already taken the workshop? Book an appointment for your first 3D print. Certification classes for 3D Printers were made available in September of 2016; classes for the CNC mills, laser engraver, and vinyl cutter are expected in 2017.
Please note that self-serve use of the equipment, including the 3D printers, is currently limited to active NAIT students & staff members. See our Eligible User guidelines for more information.
